Our 14 year old son, Ryan, has been selected by his school, Millburn Academy, to join the Vine Trust in Tanzania in June 2025. He will be out there for two weeks working with local teams building shelters and homes for vulnerable families. Ryan loves working with his hands - be it metal work, wood work or construction - so he's really looking forward to this challenge.
However, to get there, each pupil needs to raise £4,000. Ryan has been very busy with car boot sales, supermarket bag packs, volunteering at the local Etape bike race and running a quiz. He's also used his skills to create herb planters from old pallets.
His first BIG charity event is coming up - a charity golf day at the prestigious Royal Dornoch Golf Club, where his Grandad is the Immediate Past Captain. This is being held on Saturday, 8th June with tee times available from 12:30pm to 3:00pm that day. It only costs £50 - and that includes a Bacon Roll on arrival, your 18 holes, plus a bar meal on return. It's normally £90 a round on the Struie Course! Other clubs across the Highlands have also been extremely generous in donating fabulous prices for the competitors - totalling over £5,000!!! But you've got to be in it to win it!
If any of our customers are keen golfers and would be interested, then please let me know or download the Entry Form above. Thank you for your interest and support.
