Automotive Remanufacturing and Climate Change

It has been suggested that CO2 emissions could be significantly reduced from the current 300,000 tonnes per annum by using more remanufactured goods in the automotive industry within Europe, (Fernand Weiland - APRA Europe). At present only about 50% of all goods that can be remanufactured are remanufactured. Transport of cores and cleaning are considered two of the least energy efficient areas within the industry.
